Thousands of textbooks and reference books remain in storerooms for years, many of them unused or thrown away before the books' expire. By gathering these unused books and distributing them to less fortunate schools, we allow schools to grow the minds of another generation of children.

Our target schools syllabus is based on the Commonwealth model where all secondary school classes are taught in English. This creates great synergies between the educational systems and syllabus in Africa and other commonwealth countries such as Singapore.

We focus on collecting primary and secondary school text books, general reading books, encyclopedias and story books. Please use the following checklist to see if your books are suitable to donate.

- Physics / Chemistry / Biology / General Science – Yes
- Mathematics – Yes
- English Language – Yes
- English Literature – Yes
- Atlases / Dictionaries / Encyclopedia etc – Yes.
- Geography – Yes (However human geography books are not usable)
- History / Politics / Religious Education etc – No
We also take donations of sports and stationery equipment. Please make sure any second hand items are clean and are of good quality.

Schools
Our Book Projects can organise a book drive from your school at a time that suits you. Each project runs a book collection week in December and in February but they may also be able to arrange a one-off collection from your school.
